You may remember a time, not so long ago, when it seemed like everybody was working on their own indie game. Pulling all-nighters trying to create a playable demo in time for the next PAX. But for every successful indie game in the last decade, there must be a thousand failed projects. Unfounded, unfunded, unfinished, unpublished, or just unplayable. With some nostalgia and a sense of humor, UNplayableNFT.com is dedicated to revisiting and, possibly, reviving a handful of beloved, bootstrapped, bastards of the indie game era that you've probably never heard of and definitely haven't played. ° Each series highlights a single, sidelined indie project and is limited to 100 unique NFTs based on the original game assets. ° Each series that reaches 100% minting revives dedicated development efforts toward the completion and release of that title as a free to play, casual game. ° Original NFT owners of a fully minted series are immortalized with gratitude in the game credits for that title and are eligible for some very special, very exclusive, limited edition merch. "Space Pants" is the working title of an unusual indie project that is featured in our first NFT series. Though unfinished and, according to initial beta testing, unplayable, we think Space Pants has legs. The original concept for Space Pants was to create a hybrid "open-space, endless scroller" that also becomes a "passive, ambient adventure" when the game is paused. Each of the unique, animated NFTs developed for Series 1: Space Pants highlights an original character or object model designed for the game. I've only got one question: how do I shoot?
