The Australian Open x Run It W
The Australian Open has teamed up with ‘Run It Wild’ to become the first Grand Slam tennis tournament to plunge into the metaverse. An extensive collection of 6,776 NFTs on January 13, while the virtual event for the competition on the metaverse platform Decentraland will see the world on January 17. The organizers promise to drop the Australian Open tokens at a price of 0.067 ETH per unit. Each NFT from the collection will have two fundamental utilities, including a generative art piece of a tennis ball that is completely unique in color and design. The second utility is revolutionary, as it sees each NFT being allocated a particular area of the tennis court. After 600 matches are played, the owners of NFTs, which correspond to the area of the court, in which the balls drop on, will receive airdrops with footage of the winning point, virtual wearables, and other Australian Open merchandise. Moreover, one lucky NFT owner will be delivered the physical ball in a custom engraved case. Take your chance to join the metaverse tournament and reap the benefits of exclusive airdrops!
